About
We reviewed thousands
of applications.
Then we built a fix.
PerformerCV exists because we kept seeing the same problem — artists who deserved better chances, losing them to avoidable presentation mistakes.
The problem
Every season, hundreds of applications. Almost no two looked the same.
We run Prime Line Agency. We work with dancers, acrobats, vocalists, circus artists — placing them on cruise lines, in theatre productions, at international shows. Casting teams send us requirements, we match them with the right performers.
The applications we receive are all over the place. A PDF that won't open on a phone. A Google Drive folder with 40 photos and no naming. A reel link that's been set to private. Height listed in one format, weight missing entirely. A visa noted without an expiry date. A certificate from 2019 — still valid? Expired? Unknown.
It's not carelessness. Artists simply have no standard to follow. Nobody tells them what a professional performing arts application looks like — or what a booker actually needs to make a decision in 90 seconds.
What we needed
One link. Everything in it. No follow-up emails.
We wanted artists to send us a single link — one that opened to a complete, readable profile: specs, photos, a reel that actually plays, current visas, valid certificates, bio, and a working email. No back-and-forth. No "can you resend the photos?" No guessing whether the ENG1 on file is still active.
We looked for a tool like that. It didn't exist. The options were either generic portfolio builders that didn't understand the performing arts world, or PDF templates that became outdated the moment they were sent.
So we built it ourselves.
How it works
A guided structure that makes the right things automatic.
PerformerCV walks the artist through a structured form — built around the fields a booker actually looks at. Name, physical specs, specialisations, languages, availability, work history, photos, performance videos, visas, certificates, medicals, contacts. Every section is guided; nothing important gets forgotten by accident.
Empty sections don't appear on the published CV. Expired visas and certificates disappear automatically — so whoever is reviewing always sees current, relevant information only.
Videos are hosted directly — no YouTube account required, no dead links, no privacy settings blocking access. Photos are displayed cleanly. Couples and groups have per-member sections for specs, languages, visas, and certificates.
Fill it in once. Send one link to every booker, every agency, every audition. Update it when something changes — everyone who has the link sees the current version immediately.
Who we are
An agency built by performers, for performers.
Prime Line Agency was founded in 2018 by former professional dancers with international stage careers. We have been on both sides of the casting table — as artists who sent the applications, and as the agency that reviews them. That double perspective shapes everything about how PerformerCV is built.
Since 2018 we have placed 180+ contracts across 30+ countries, working with 200+ vetted artists. Our partners include Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises, TUI Cruises, Tallink Silja Line, Burn The Floor, Dancing with the Stars, Riverdance, Ballroom Theatre, Peel Entertainment, and Heartbeat of Home.
We know what casting teams look at, what they skip, and what makes them pick up the phone. PerformerCV is structured around exactly that knowledge — not a generic portfolio builder, but a format built specifically for how the performing arts industry actually works.
We do not see artists as entries in a database. We see professionals who deserve a presentation that matches the quality of their craft. PerformerCV is our attempt to give every artist — not just the ones we represent — that same fair shot.
